The Killarney Park Hotel

I am thrilled to commence our featured destination series with a review of the Killarney Park Hotel. I have chosen to start the series with our favourite Five Star Hotel in Killarney. The town of Killarney has been one of the Worlds leading golf travel destinations for over 30 years now, with the Killarney Park leading the way in providing town centre five-star accommodation. Lyons Links has an exemplary Trip Advisor profile, however, this is largely thanks to modelling our customer service on that provided by the Killarney Park. No job is too big or too small to assist clients. The Killarney Park is exemplary in every way. Perfect location, luxurious accommodation and World-Class customer service.

Family Run 5 Star in the Heart of Killarney

The Killarney Park is on the doorstep of Killarney’s town centre and located next to the 25,000 acre Killarney National Park.  One of the last few Family Owned and run five-star hotels in Ireland, The Killarney Park is the ideal location to put down base for a golf trip to the Southwest of Ireland. The team at the hotel, in keeping with the family traditions, strive to deliver an unparalleled guest experience. As previously alluded Lyons Links looks to the Killarney Park as a model in customer service. The hotel was Awarded the “Number One Luxury Hotel in Ireland” by Trip Advisor in 2020. Our clients will certainly attest to these reviews where we have had universal acclaim in feedback from guests who stay there.

Dining

The culinary team is headed by Chef Heiko Riebandt. Under his stewardship, guests will enjoy an authentic Irish dining experience, matched with impeccable service in the most welcoming of surroundings. Heiko and Sous Chef Darragh Lawlor are passionate about creating mouth-watering menus with the freshest seasonal ingredients, sourced from carefully selected suppliers.

From a personal perspective and being in the privileged position of working in the tourism industry, I get to visit some magnificent restaurants and hotels. I can without hesitation say that dining options at the Killarney park are second to none. Whether eating in the bar, the terrace or enjoying fine dining in the restaurant, the food and service is exceptional. There is a very convivial bar for after-dinner drinks or for the whiskey connoisseurs there is the Whiskey Room with a superb selection of some fine whiskeys.

Rooms and Suites

There are a variety of rooms and suites available to guests. All are in keeping with the high standards of the hotel. Luxurious elegance awaits. Clients can request rooms with traditional or contemporary styling however all provide sumptuous luxury. Guest can choose from Classic, Premium or Signature rooms or for that added bit of luxury one of several suites.

Perfect base for Kerry's Majestic links

It is not an accident that Killarney has been one of the leading destinations on the planet for Golfers across the globe for over 30 years. It is Ireland's favourite town and is in commuting distance of Ballybunion, Tralee, Dooks, Waterville, Ceann Sibeal, Hogs Head, Old Head and of course Killarney Golf and fishing club. Allied to the World Class links, the region is packed full of scenic drives and sight-seeing opportunities. The World Famous Ring of Kerry, the Skelligs and Dingle are all very popular day trips from Killarney. Of course, there is also the National Park on its doorstep too. Visitors to Killarney routinely fall in love with the town itself. Indeed this is the region where we see most repeat business and get the best client feedback. It is easy to see why.

With SouthWest region leading the way for Irish Golf and sightseeing Tours, Killarney is central to the success. While there are many great options for accommodation in Killarney, I have no hesitation in saying the Killarney Park is our favourite.
