Lyons Links (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use lyonslinks.com, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
The data controller responsible for your personal information is Lyons Links. You can contact us here
Full registered company details are available on request.
The information we collect
Information you give us directly

- Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
- Email and phone correspondence: any information you choose to share when you contact us directly.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit the site we automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view and how you interact with the site. See our Cookie Policy for full detail.
We do not collect or process special categories of data (such as health or financial data) through this website, and we do not take payment on the site.
How we use your information, and our legal basis
| What we do | Why | Legal basis (GDPR Article 6) |

You can withdraw consent at any time (for example, by unsubscribing from emails or changing your cookie settings) without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
Marketing emails
If you sign up to our newsletter we’ll send you occasional updates by email. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Our newsletter is delivered through Mailchimp (see “Who we share your information with” below).
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your cookie preferences, and — with your consent — to measure site usage with Google Analytics. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
Who we share your information with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers (“processors”) who help us run the site and our business, and only as far as needed:
- Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC) — newsletter delivery and management.
- Google — website analytics (Google Analytics 4) and spam protection (reCAPTCHA) on our forms.
- Mailgun (Sinch) — delivery of emails sent from the site (such as form notifications).
- Cloudflare — content delivery, performance and security.
- Our website hosting provider — secure hosting of the website and its data.
These providers act on our instructions and are bound by their own data-protection obligations. If you book a trip or event through a third-party booking platform (for example WeTravel), your information is handled under that platform’s own privacy policy.
International transfers
Some of our providers (such as Mailchimp and Google) are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards — typically the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep your information
- Enquiry and contact form submissions: kept for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry and to manage our relationship with you, after which they are securely deleted.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Analytics data: retained in line with our Google Analytics settings (up to 14 months).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict or object to our processing;
- request portability of data you provided to us;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details under “Who we are”. We’ll respond within one month, and there’s normally no charge.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority: Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28 — www.dataprotection.ie.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including secure hosting, HTTPS encryption and access controls.

Our site may link to external websites (for example booking platforms or partner courses). We’re not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies.
