Walk in the footsteps of champions on a journey through the most iconic venues in Open Championship history. From the birthplace of The Open to its most celebrated modern stages, this itinerary brings together five legendary courses and two of Scotland’s most prestigious hotels.

Day 1 | Arrival & Turnberry

Arrive into Scotland and make your way to Turnberry. Set dramatically on the Ayrshire coastline, Turnberry is one of the world’s most celebrated golf resorts. Check into the iconic hotel for four nights and take time to explore the stunning grounds, lighthouse and sweeping views across the Firth of Clyde.

Day 2 | Royal Troon Golf Club

Host venue of The Open Championship on ten occasions, Royal Troon is one of Scotland’s great championship tests. From the famous “Postage Stamp” 8th hole to the demanding closing stretch along the coastline, Troon combines history, challenge and tradition in equal measure.

Day 3 | Prestwick Golf Club

The birthplace of The Open Championship. Prestwick hosted the first Open in 1860 and remains one of the most unique golfing experiences in the world. Blind shots, enormous bunkers and unconventional routing create a round unlike any other, offering a fascinating glimpse into golf’s earliest days.

Day 4 | Turnberry (Ailsa Course)

A course that needs little introduction. Consistently ranked among the finest layouts in the world, the Ailsa Course combines spectacular coastal scenery with unforgettable golf. From the iconic lighthouse to the dramatic stretch along the shoreline, Turnberry delivers one of the game’s truly bucket-list experiences.

Day 5 | Carnoustie & St Andrews

Depart Turnberry and travel north to St Andrews. En route, play Carnoustie Golf Links, one of the most revered championship venues in golf. Renowned for its demanding finish and Open Championship pedigree, Carnoustie rewards accuracy, patience and strategic thinking.

Following your round, continue to St Andrews and check into the Rusacks Hotel for two nights. Overlooking the 18th fairway of the Old Course, few hotels in golf can match its location.

Day 6 | The Old Course, St Andrews

The Home of Golf. A round on the Old Course is unlike any other experience in the game. Shared fairways, ancient stone walls, the Swilcan Bridge and the Valley of Sin are instantly recognisable to golfers around the world. Rich in history and tradition, it is a course every golfer dreams of playing.

Day 7 | Departure

After breakfast, depart for home. From the birthplace of The Open Championship to the Home of Golf, you’ve experienced a collection of courses that have shaped the game for more than 160 years.
