Planning a 2027 Ryder Cup trip: what to sort in the year before

The 2027 Ryder Cup starts at Adare Manor on Friday 17 September 2027, a year from today. It’s the first Ryder Cup in Ireland since the K Club in 2006, and it falls in the tournament’s centenary year.

If you’re planning to be there, the public ticket ballot has now closed, and that changes what you need to think about. Here’s what we’d sort, and in what order.

Get your tickets from an official source

With the ballot closed, the official ways into Adare are travel packages that include tickets, and the Ryder Cup’s own hospitality. Ryder Cup Europe’s ticket terms say tickets can’t be resold, and that they “reserve the right to cancel tickets that are found or purchased on secondary resale platforms.”

For a golfer in Ireland, a cancelled ticket is a wasted day. For a group flying in from the US, it’s the flights, the hotel and all the other costs that come with an international trip. If a resale site is offering tickets, that’s a risk not worth taking.

We’re an Official Tour Operator for the 2027 Ryder Cup, so the tickets in our packages come through the official route.

Decide where you’ll sleep, and how you’ll get there

Once you have tickets, where you stay decides how your trip flows: how you get to the event, and what you do with the rest of your week.

Our Ryder Cup packages base you in Killarney or Tralee for five nights, from 15 to 20 September 2027. Adare Manor is about an hour and a half away, and on the day you go, we take you there and back, so nobody has to worry about driving or finding parking. Breakfast is included every morning.

Choose your day

The 2027 Ryder Cup runs from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 September, and Thursday is a practice day. The tickets in our packages cover all four days, so you can go on whichever one suits you. On Thursday you’ll see both teams out practising, and the Opening Ceremony is that day too. Friday and Saturday are foursomes (alternate shot) and fourballs, and Sunday is the singles, when all twelve players on each team go out.

Tell us now if you want to golf

In our experience those that watch, also want to play. And there’s no better place to catch a few rounds than Ireland’s South West.

If that’s you, tell us now. The Ryder Cup dates are fixed, so we’ll plan your golf around the day you’re going, and that’s much easier to do with a year in hand. From Waterville to Ballybunion, we can secure tee times at some of the finest links courses Ireland has to offer.

Book the flights last

Shannon is the nearest airport to Adare Manor. We’d suggest booking flights once your tickets and accommodation are confirmed, so the dates of the trip are settled before you pay for anything you can’t change.

Talk to us

If you’re planning a Ryder Cup trip, or trying to decide between watching and playing, tell us who’s travelling and what you have in mind. We’ll tell you straight what’s possible and what isn’t.
